Chemical risk management
The employer is obliged to make sure that the risks arising from hazardous chemical agents are eliminated or reduced to the lowest possible level so that the safety and health of employees will not be endangered.
Where chemicals present in the workplace are hazardous chemical agents, the employer must carry out a risk assessment with regard to the safety and health of employees. In doing so, he shall take into account:
- their hazardous properties,
- the safety and health information provided by the supplier of the chemicals (SDS),
- the level, type and duration of exposure to the chemical agents,
- the working conditions associated with the chemical agents, including their quantity,
- the maximum permissible exposure limits
