Waste management
Every entrepreneur becomes a waste holder, no matter what the activity. You become one because of everything you throw in the bin. It could be burnt out light bulbs, paper, stationery, empty toner or a broken printer.
As a result, you are subject to selected obligations, mainly for ordinary entrepreneurs, under the Waste Act, a full list of which can be found in Section 14(1) of the Waste Act or on the information portal of the Ministry of the Environment of the Slovak Republic.
Services we offer:
- Initial analysis of the current state of waste management and record keeping
- Waste management consultancy - we will advise you on how to manage your waste effectively
- Waste records - waste records must be kept by everyone who produces waste, at monthly intervals. We will complete a waste record sheet, write out all the necessary codes according to the weight tickets and report to the relevant authority.
- Waste generation and management reporting - do you generate more than 50 kg of hazardous waste or more than 1 tonne of other waste per year? If so, you have a legal obligation to report your waste generation and management by 28 February.
- Consents under Section 97 of the Waste Act - you are a producer, municipality or waste processor. We will provide you with all the necessary consents from Section 97 of the Waste Act that apply to your activity.
- Construction and demolition waste - builders beware! Selective demolition waste applies to you too! It involves waste recycling obligations (pre-demolition audit and recovery of 70% of the waste) and the processing of notifications (before and after the works) on the management of construction waste to the state waste management authority. The obligation applies to all those who have been issued with a building permit for buildings over 300 m² on which construction, maintenance or alteration and removal works are carried out.
- Consent to hand over waste suitable for household use - give your employees a small benefit in the form of waste wood or other material and save on waste removal.
- Consent to take waste for household use - give your employees the small benefit of waste wood or other material and save money on waste export.
- Sending hazardous waste cover sheets - send hazardous waste cover sheets by the 10th of each month.
- Waste categorisation according to the waste catalogue
- Labelling of waste storage, collection containers, instructing employees on collection and security of hazardous waste storage.
- Individual consultation according to your needs, e.g. when changing technology, expanding production, etc.
